The specialist wood has exceptional durability and needs little maintenance. It has a very low shrinkage factor and is superior to all other coniferous woods in its resistance to warping, twisting and checking.
Red Cedar is renowned for its high resistance to moisture and so is perfectly suited for the humidity of saunas. Cedar wood is naturally resistant to rot, decay and mildew and has a magnificent natural colour range. The wood heats gradually without becoming too hot to the touch. Once warm, Red Cedar emits a pleasant, sweet aroma.
